A computer virus is a computer program that can copy itself and infect a computer without permission or knowledge of the user. A virus can only spread from one computer to another when its host is taken to the uninfected computer. But can they be treat as a kind of art?
Well it’s hard to say. On one point, they create such beautiful pictures, with ideal shapes and huge variety of colours. They just seem to be as abstract & unnatural as things which don’t appear in the real world. Many viruses have specific forms of their ‘acting’, depending on type of them.
On the other hand, strangely looks the fact that we consider computer viruses as a new branch of art. We should remember they are negative phenomenon in the current world, make many horrible disasters. They are also not the art made by human hands but by cybernetic errors & their reflect on the computer screen.
As we can see, there is no clear situation about treating the computer viruses as the new category of art. Personally, I don’t fond of this experiment, it may looks really gorgeous, but I can’t feel it in no way.
I have seen a report “Computer viruses shown as art” about exhibition in London. In my opinion it is one of the best display of this theme. It shows us in very interesting way what viruses really are and also how the attackers look.

Recently I’ve watched a video recording including a few minutes from art exhibition presenting some viruses in form of art. There were different, mostly bizzare pictures which absorbed me and induced me to futher refining the 3D ART. Quite honestly…I enjoy it. It seems to me that this way of displaying the viruses is an outstanding work of art. Specyfic lines, colors and waveforms look quite ugly from the first sight but after a short moment you may notice some intriguing features in it. As a result you unwittingly inspect the others and make yor reflections about them as well as experience different sensation or emotions. What is more, the viruses from the exposition could be for me a type of an applied art. These images may constitute an element of decoration in our house and in the same time introsuce a special atmosphere and evoke different feelings. I quess these pictures would be suitable especially in modern-styled roms. Some people usually don’t appreaciate 3D Art. They state it does’t show anything and it couldn’t be useful in any way. Admiring it means a lost of time for them. I can’t understant them…I suppose they just aren’t able to widen their though horizonts. Generally, this kind of art appeals to me and develop my imagination I think. I’d like to have one of the pictures under my bed or even make it up by myself in future. I hope that more people will become the enthusiasts of it and appreaciate the creator’s efforts.

Usually people press the button in the computer keyboard and enjoy the news.They don�t realise that they are in danger of getting virus into their computer. But some of them are fascinated about this kind of phenomenon.The film, which I have just seen tells about that. People use the virus as an art and I agree with them that it can be quite exciting. In my opinion using virus as an art is a fabolous experience. At Hospital Club in London artists try to show the viruses as a piece of art, which can be senn by ordinary people. Personally I would like to have this kind of portret in my bedroom. Looking at it I would wonder how that kind of image can change the processes in a complicated machinery of a computer. Nevertheless some people think that pictures which show viruses in a creative way look like monsters.Their complicated structure makes they are not delighted to watch. All in all having awerness that viruses are not a common topic experts try to show that they can create not only a damage but also bring advantage helping you understand their work.
It is extremely difficult, if not impossible to give a precise definition of art. Generally speaking people tend to consider it as a product of creative activity of human beings that is characterized by aesthetic values and a sort of beauty. So, having this in mind, can we say that computer viruses are also a part of this field? From my point of view the answer is quite obvious. The art is such an extensive area that it is up to our personal taste if we consider something as art or not. Persinally I believe that those images of viruses can be treated as a form of surrealistic vision of our modern world and I find them worthy of approval. But there is another side of the coin. Some people may claim that viruses are only ‘malicious’ programmes created in order to interfere with the work of computers. From this point they don’t perceive any logic in treating viruses as if they had any artistic values. As we all know the world abound in different forms of artistry, so why shouldn’t we treat this extraordinary exhibition as an utterly new wing of art? The topic of the exhibition is quite interesting and unusual for being as a piece of art. It's nothing new showing something which is part of our life as an art, but I haven't heard anything about showing in the form of pictures something which in fact exists only in the Net. First thing which made me think was: how they created an image of a computer virus? It's quite interesting because what is a virus – a series of notes and ones. But they managed to take care with that, simply they used a computer program which changes parts of a code into colours and shapes. The results were breathtaking. The pictures had some sort of regularity, this shows that computer viruses are created in some sort of order. I was amazed by the final effects. What makes me think is that what would be next as inspiration for art. There are infinite number of possibilities which are limited only by artists’ imagination.

But there is another side of the coin. Some people may claim that viruses are only ‘malicious’ programmes created in order to interfere with the work of computers. From this point they don’t perceive any logic in treating viruses as if they had any artistic values.
As we all know the world abound in different forms of artistry, so why shouldn’t we treat this extraordinary exhibition as an utterly new wing of art? Anyway, regardless of our attitude towards it I think that it may be remarkable experience to see it with our own eyes...

The topic of the exhibition is quite interesting and unusual for
being as a piece of art. It's nothing new showing something which is part of our life as an art, but I haven't heard anything about showing in the form of pictures something which in fact exists only in the Net. First thing which made me think was: how they created an image of a computer virus? It's quite interesting because what is a virus – a series of notes and ones.
But they managed to take care with that, simply they used a computer program which changes parts of a code into colours and shapes. The results were breathtaking. The pictures had some sort of regularity, this shows that computer viruses are created in some sort of order.
I was amazed by the final effects. What makes me think is that what would be next as inspiration for art. There are infinite number of possibilities which are limited only by artists’ imagination.
